Due to Beretta’s 500th anniversary, this edition of the Classic Steel Challenge will be held under the name “BERETTA GOLD CUP”. On this page you will find the program, prizes and information around available cartridges, entertainment and hotel recommendations.

Is there anything I need to be aware of?

Please do not forget to bring your license and/or permit as well as a valid ID/passport. Dutch regulations are strict and we are anticipating on checks by the authorities. In addition, you are required to show your license/permit and ID at the registration desk to check validity and your category. If you cannot show your license/permit and ID, you will not be able to participate in the competition. Please make sure you only shoot steel cartridges max. 28gr/6.

What type of cartridges are available during the competition?

Hull: ProSteel and Sovereign in 24 and 28 grams.
Tunet: Universelle in 24 grams and Elite Steel in 28 grams
Nobel Sport Italia (NSI): Steel & Soft in 24 and 28 grams.
Fiocchi: FSteel in 24 and 28 grams, TTSteel in 24 grams. (limited stock)

Will there be a fair like other years?

For the duration of the competition there will be a fair accessible from the range. Businesses related to hunting/shooting lifestyle will be presenting their products and are looking forward to collaborate with you.
The fair will be open on both Saturday and Sunday from 10.00hrs till 18.00hrs. There is plenty of room for the kids to play, so don't hesitate to bring your loved ones.

Beretta Gold Cup 2026 – Classic Steel Challenge Special Edition

Event Overview
The Classic Steel Challenge 2026 will take place on 19 and 20 September 2026 as a special anniversary edition under the name Beretta Gold Cup. This edition celebrates 500 years of Beretta and brings together sport, precision, and tradition at Schietbaan De Wildenberg.

About the Beretta Gold Cup
To mark Beretta’s 500th anniversary, this year’s Classic Steel Challenge is held under the prestigious Beretta Gold Cup name. This special edition reflects the long-standing partnership between Beretta and high-level shooting sports, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and competitive integrity.

The Competition
The competition will be set by Ed Solomons in cooperation with the organising team. Competitors can expect well-balanced layouts, technical challenges, and a professionally run event that meets international competition standards.

Prizes and Special Celebrations
A comprehensive prize table will be available, consistent with the standard participants have come to expect from the Classic Steel Challenge. In addition, this edition marks the 70th birthday of Rini Meulendijks, who has led the organisation for 17 years and will be retiring in 2026.
